  • What is Direct To Garment (DTG) printing?
Direct to Garment printing is exactly that a printing process that applies ink directly to the garment.
  • What DTG printer does Carlson Graphix use?
We use the Anajet printing system. This system allows us to print on dark shirts as well as light shirts. Not all DTG printers have this capability. Best of all, it's made in the USA.
  • What's the difference between DTG and screen printing?
There a quite a few differences and each has pros and cons. Here are a few.
    1) DTG is not limited by number of colors, where screen printing requires a screen to be produced for each color needed.
    2) At Carlson Graphix, there are no extra screen set up charges for DTG.
    3) With DTG, especially on light shirts, you can "feel" the difference between the two types. You don't even know the image is there on a shirt that has been printed using DTG. However, you will "feel" it with a screen printed shirt.
  • How long will the DTG printed image last? For a light shirt, approximately 40 washings. This is about the same as a screen printed shirt, if not a little longer.
For a dark shirt, approximately 20-25 washings. Not quite as long as a screenprinted shirt, but close.
